Job summary

Willowbrook Hills in Auburn Hills is seeking a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our team for part-time shifts. The role focuses on providing compassionate one-on-one care, assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and medication reminders.

A patient, reliable, and safety-conscious approach is essential. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Assist with medications and ambulation as needed.
• Support mobility for appointments and activities outside the home.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to stores.
• Perform housekeeping duties and report incidents promptly.
• Support daily living activities and meals as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
