Pineview Cottage, Northern Michigan's premier assisted living community, is seeking a compassionate caregiver for 1st shift in Harbor Springs, MI. You will provide varied levels of support to clients, focusing on safety and dignity.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work nights/weekends. CNA/HHA or related training is valued; AI usage notice applies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assist with medication and mobility needs.
• Assist with outings, appointments, and mobility around home.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Support physical therapy exercises when needed.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shops.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report incidents promptly and act in emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities including meals.

Pineview Cottage, Northern Michigan's premier assisted living community, is looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team on 1st shift! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Benefits

• $21 an hour starting pay

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
