Qualifications

  • Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and behavioral management techniques.
  • Ability to work all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
  • Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and document findings.
  • Administer medications per prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Provide companionship and social engagement to promote well-being.
  • Support dementia care through memory care techniques and behavior management.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
  • Maintain clean and safe environment with light housekeeping duties.
  • Document care activities using EMR systems and communicate with healthcare teams.
  • Assist residents with transportation to appointments and outings when qualified.
