Job summary

Right at Home in Lafayette, LA is hiring dependable in-home caregivers to assist elderly clients with daily living activities, mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. You will support clients in their homes, follow care plans, and report changes to supervisors to ensure quality of life and safety.

Qualifications

• 18 or older.
• Must pass drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and background check.
• Experience with ADLs (transfer, bathing, dressing) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist clients with errands including outings and grocery shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report changes in condition and advocate for clients.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Encourage activities and exercises essential for daily living.
• Provide safety supervision and transportation.

• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation to and from work every single day and willing to transport client.
