Job summary

Right at Home in Lafayette, LA is seeking compassionate in-home care aides to support clients with personal care, mobility, meals, and companionship. We offer flexible schedules, competitive hourly wages, and extensive training along with a $400 referral bonus.

Direct deposit, paid time off, and a supportive team environment are included. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check
• Prior verifiable experience with ADLs including changing, dressing, bathing, transferring (at least 1 year, family care included) preferred
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation to and from work every day; willing to transport client
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• Take pride in providing high quality care

Responsibilities

• Be the ultimate sidekick by assisting clients with personal care tasks like grooming and dressing, all while providing companionship
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications
• Help with mobility
• Prepare meals and share stories over tea/coffee
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Keep a watchful eye on clients' well-being and report important updates to the team
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompany clients on outings and appointments
• Provide safety supervision
• Assist with transportation
