Right at Home in Lafayette, LA is seeking caregivers to provide in-home care with compassion and dignity. You will assist clients with ADLs, mobility, meals, light housekeeping and companionship, while ensuring safety and well-being in a home setting.

The role emphasizes reliable transportation, adherence to health standards, and the ability to respond to emergencies, with opportunities for flexible schedules and growth within a respected home-care agency.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pass drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check.
• 1 year of verifiable experience with ADLs (family care included) preferred.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation daily.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards; compassionate and supportive.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.

Responsabilidades

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as grooming and dressing, offering companionship.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Prepare meals and share conversation during tea/coffee breaks.
• Provide light housekeeping and daily living support.
• Monitor client well-being and report important updates to the team.
• Respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies.
• Accompany clients on outings and appointments.
• Provide safety supervision and transportation as required.

Responsibilities

• Be the ultimate sidekick by assisting clients with personal care task like grooming and dressing, all while sprinkling in some laughter and companionship

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.

• Help with mobility.

• Whip up some culinary magic in the kitchen by preparing delicious meals and sharing stories over a cup of tea and coffeee

• Compassionate and empathetic attitude

• Perform light housekeeping duties.

• Keep a watchful eye on our clients' well-being an report and super important updates to the rest of the team

• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

• Be the ultimaste adventure buddy by accompanying clients on outings and appointments, turning everyday into a new and exciting journey

Qualifications

• 18 or older

• Must be willing and able to submit to and pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check

• Prior verifiable experience with all ADL's including changing, dressing, bathing, transferring (at least 1 year, family care included) *preferred

• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation to and from work every single day and willing to transport client.
