Job summary

Compass Senior Living is seeking Holiday Caregivers in Woodburn, OR to provide compassionate elder care on day, swing, and night shifts. On-call for major holidays involves time-and-a-half pay, with potential to stay on-call or transition to full-time after the season.

As a Care Partner, you will assist with daily living activities, health monitoring, emotional support, meals, social activities, and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers.
• Licensing documentation (if required by your state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for elders including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Observe health conditions and document changes for Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate with residents, families, team members, and guests.
• Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness.

What You’ll Do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.

What You’ll Bring
