Role Summary

As a Caregiver, you’ll be on the front lines of that mission—providing high-quality non-medical assistance that enhances quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Pasco County.

Success in this position means consistently showing up with professionalism, empathy, and reliability. You will build trust with clients and their families, follow individualized care plans, and collaborate closely with our care team to ensure each client feels safe, valued, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation, activities, and light exercise
• Perform light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, and tidying client living areas
• Assist with meal preparation and support clients during meals as needed
• Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior to the care coordinator
• Support safe medication reminders in line with the client’s care plan (no medication administration)
• Maintain accurate daily care logs and follow all Legacy Thrive policies and procedures
• Uphold the dignity, confidentiality, and rights of every client
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience providing in-home care or support to seniors or adults with disabilities
• Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
• Genuine compassion, patience, and commitment to respectful caregiving
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written care instructions
• Must pass background screening and have reliable transportation
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
