Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults live with dignity at home. We are seeking an At Home Caregiver who can work weekdays and weekends, with shifts from 1 to 12 hours, day or night, and a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to surrounding areas around Temple. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Criminal History check completed successfully.
• Professional references available on request.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hygiene and grooming (bathing, dressing, incontinence care).
• Provide medication reminders and monitoring for safety.
• Assist with meals and light housekeeping.
• Provide supportive companionship and mobility assistance.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities as needed.

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for an At Home Caregiver who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. At Home Caregiver shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Killeen, Harker Heights, Nolanville, Fort Hood, Copperas Cove, Belton, Temple, and MORE) therefore, an At Home Caregiver MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!

At Home Caregiver job duties include but are not limited to:

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.)
• Medication reminders
• Monitoring/safety supervision
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry, errands and shopping
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above
• Supportive companionship
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency
• Transportation to and from appointments

At Home Caregiver Requirements:

• A great attitude, helpful and ready for anything
• Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive
• Good time management skills
• High integrity and strong ethics
• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• MUST be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check
• Professional references
• Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving
• Valid Driver’s License/clean driving record/proof of insurance
