Job summary

Lorien Taneytown is seeking Caregivers to support residents with daily living activities in an assisted living community.

You will provide compassionate, resident-centered care, assist with ADLs, meals, mobility, and help maintain a safe, welcoming living environment. We offer multiple shifts including full-time, part-time and PRN options.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving/assisted living is preferred.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping as needed.
• Observe and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Encourage participation in social and wellness activities.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment.

Our Caregivers play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in an assisted living community by providing compassionate, resident‑centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the direction of the Director of Nursing. They assist residents with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement to enhance residents’ well‑being.
• Help residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning while following safety protocols.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for all residents.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs and emergency situations.
• Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN Hours Available

• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
