Lorien Taneytown is hiring a Dietary Cook to join our healthcare community. We seek a cheerful, enthusiastic cook who can prepare nutritious, flavorful meals following dietary guidelines and batch cooking procedures.

This part-time, PRN role offers competitive pay of $17.00–$19.00 per hour, plus a benefits package including 40 hours PTO, holiday double time, EAP and 401(k) matching, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Shifts: 5:45a-2:25p or 11a-7:30p
• Ability to safely lift 25–50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and batch cooking procedures
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, and infection control standards
• Demonstrate proper knife skills and safe food-handling techniques
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to support daily operations
• Apply knowledge of dietary procedures to meet resident nutritional needs
• Uphold integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
• Assist team members as needed to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations

Pay Rate

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour
