Job summary

Cascade Living Group is hiring a Caregiver for Spring Valley (Assisted Living). You will build meaningful relationships with residents, assist with life skills, and help implement personal care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences. A Caregiver helps create a warm, respectful environment and works closely with a clinical team.

This role offers part-time and on-call shifts across day, swing and NOC, with weekend availability required. A Food Workers Card is required.

Job description

As a Caregiverwith Spring Valley we’re looking for you to build meaningful relationships with our residents by getting to know their personalities and preferences. On a daily basis you’ll be relied upon to assist seniors with life skills, maintain and develop personal care plans and recommend level-of-care adjustments.

• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time
• Positive attitude and the flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents
• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills

What you can expect to do as a Caregiver:

• Establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff
• Assist residents in life skills and other life enriching activities as indicated on their individual profile
• Implement residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents’ strengths, preferences and preferred routines
• Blend a variety of multi-sensory experiences into the resident’s day
• Work with the clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed in a timely matter
• Demonstrate organizational skills around time managementPromote the mission, values and beliefs of the company

Position Requirements:

$18.50 - $20.50/hour
