Job summary

Hope Human Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional / Caregiver to assist adults with a range of needs in their home and community. You will provide in-home services, support daily living skills, and accompany clients to events such as sports, movies, and outings.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. We offer paid training, weekend shifts, competitive pay between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour, and a benefits package for full-time staff, including health coverage and

Qualifications

• Be able to demonstrate basic computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
• 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and three years of licensed driving experience.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass a background check through DSHS.
• Be available to work at least one weekend shift a week.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and coaching individuals according to habilitative plans.
• Assisting with or providing basic living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and medication.
• Providing supervision and engagement.
• Facilitating community outings.

• Newhires placed in Zone homes may be eligible for a pay differential, up to$3.00/hour. Pay is based on:




• Hours workedin Zone homes only.


• Completionof required training.


• Meetingall Zone program requirements.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide in home servicesto adults with range of mental capabilities. Under the supervision of theProgram Manager, the responsibilities include:

• Teachingand coaching individuals according to habilitative plans.


• Assistingwith or providing basic living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personalhygiene & medication.


• Providingsupervision & engagement.


• Facilitatingcommunity outings.

Caregiver Job Requirements
