Job summary

Right at Home of Southern Arizona is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our in-home care team, helping seniors live safely and independently at home. Earn $16.00-$18.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and paid training.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, errands/appointments, and reminders for medications. Must read/write/speak English and have a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and daily living tasks.
• Prepare meals, assist with eating, and support dietary needs.
• Dress, groom, and manage activities of daily living for clients.
• Provide light housekeeping and accompany clients to errands or appointments.
• Offer medication reminders and assist with prescribed exercises.
• Support dementia and incontinence care as directed by supervisor.

Caregiver Responsibilities and Duties

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living (ADL's):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/Grooming
• Prepares meals and snacks
• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Light Housekeeping

Performs client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home Care Manager or Nurse:

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

Caregiver Qualifications and Skills:

• Compassion and concern for older adults!
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have your own insured automobile
