Job summary

Right at Home of Southern Arizona is seeking an exceptional Caregiver to join our professional care team in Green Valley. This in-home role offers hourly pay of 16.00 to 18.00 and the opportunity to help seniors stay safe and independent at home.

You'll provide daily assistance with personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping and transportation as needed, with flexible scheduling and paid training. A valid driver's license and English proficiency are required; experience is not necessary.

Qualifications

• Compassion for seniors and ability to communicate in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Personal hygiene assistance (bathing, grooming, bathroom care)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating assistance and meal support
• Dressing and grooming
• Meal preparation and snacks
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments
• Light housekeeping and home safety tasks

Responsibilities and Duties of the Caregiver

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/Grooming
• Prepares meals and snacks
• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Light Housekeeping

The caregiver performs client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home Care Manager or Nurse:

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

Qualifications and Skills of a Caregiver:

• Compassion and concern for older adults!
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have your own insured automobile
