Job summary

Right at Home Southern Arizona is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to help seniors stay safe and independent in their own homes. We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, and a consistent work week with opportunities for bonuses and recognition.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, medication reminders, and dementia care as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Compassion and genuine care for seniors.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and own insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including hygiene, dressing and grooming.
• Support ambulation, transfers, meals and light housekeeping.
• Provide transportation to appointments and supervise medication reminders.
• Help with dementia care and incontinence care as needed.

Caregiver Responsibilities and Duties

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living (ADL's):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/Grooming
• Prepares meals and snacks
• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Light Housekeeping

Performs client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home Care Manager or Nurse:

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

Caregiver Qualifications and Skills:

• Compassion and concern for older adults!
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have your own insured automobile
