Position Overview:

The Caregiver is responsible for providing compassionate, hands-on care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, mobility, personal hygiene, and health monitoring under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals. This role promotes resident safety, comfort, dignity, and well-being while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to facility policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures.

• Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Mobility and Transfer Support: Help residents with walking, transferring to and from beds or chairs, climbing stairs, and other physical activities.
• Health Monitoring and Medication Assistance: Monitor residents’ health under the direction of a licensed nurse or authorized physician, including taking vital signs and assisting with medication administration as permitted.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of care provided, document changes in residents’ conditions, and report complaints, grievances, incidents, and health concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Resident Care Coordination: Participate in care discussions with the healthcare team to help determine appropriate solutions and promote quality resident care.
• Resident Safety and Personal Belongings: Safeguard residents’ personal possessions, maintain a safe environment, ensure call systems are accessible, and promptly report missing residents, hazards, or safety violations.
• Policy Compliance, Infection Control, and Training: Follow facility policies, work assignments, safety and sanitation procedures, hand hygiene and isolation precautions, proper PPE use, and participate in required orientation and training programs.
