Job summary

Westwood Post Acute is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in San Jose, California. The PTA will collaborate with physical therapists to provide treatment, motivate patients, and document progress. Candidates must have a CAPTE-accredited PTA program degree and an active California PTA license. Qualifications

• Active California PTA license, able to practice unencumbered in California.
• Minimum of six months experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Active BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and motivate patients during exercises and functional activities.
• Collaborate with physical therapy staff to modify and coordinate treatment.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises and other modality treatments.
