Job summary

AmeriCare San Francisco is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team in San Francisco. We offer shifts starting immediately with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for ongoing training.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience in healthcare or in-home care, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends. CDA preferred. Bilingual abilities a plus.

Qualifications

• Caregiver role requiring compassionate, one-on-one support.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights/weekends.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or walks.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shop.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report incidents and act in emergencies.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

We currently have shifts available starting immediately! The starting hourly rate ranges from $22.00/hour to $30.00/hour.

• Male Client in San Francisco:
  • Tuesdays 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Wednesdays 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Fridays 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Saturdays 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• Couple in Daly City:
  • Wednesdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Saturdays 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
  • Saturdays 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm
  • CNA License REQUIRED
  • Must Speak Spanish
• Female in San Francisco:
  • Caregiver must know how to cook Asian meals
  • She receives care 2 weeks/month
  • Hours are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm OR 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver
