Job summary

Meadows on McCarty in Saginaw, MI is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our 1st shift team. You will provide personal hygiene assistance, monitor residents' wellbeing, and support daily living activities with dignity and patience.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer a friendly, supportive environment and opportunities to grow with our care team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for residents (showering, bathing, dressing).
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility to doctor appointments and walks.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Assist with exercises as prescribed by therapists.
• Complete shopping tasks or accompany residents shopping.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Support daily living activities, including meals and related tasks.

Meadows on McCarty, one of Mid-Michigan's premier assisted living facilities is looking for a compassionatecaregiver to join our growing team on 1st shift! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
