Job summary

Meadows on McCarty is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our assisted living team on 1st shift. The successful candidate will provide personal hygiene support, mobility assistance, and help with daily activities for elderly residents in a compassionate, patient manner.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, doing light housekeeping, and attending to safety concerns. Prior healthcare or CNA/HHA experience is preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new skills and care techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (showering, dressing, feeding).
• Assist with medication reminders and mobility.
• Support with meals, light housekeeping, and transportation when needed.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or activities.
• Report incidents promptly and ensure resident safety.
• Engage residents in activities to support daily living.

Meadows on McCarty, one of Mid-Michigan's premier assisted living facilities is looking for a compassionatecaregiver to join our growing team on 1st shift! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
