Job summary

The Homestead at Rochester, a member of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a Caregiver in Rochester, MN. This paid role supports residents with daily living activities and compassionate care in a senior living setting. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany opportunities for growth.

Scheduled shifts include .6 AM and .8 AM with 6:30am-2:30pm, working every other weekend. VOANS values diversity and provides caregiver growth and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification required or preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Long-term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents, including activities of daily living.
• Support residents’ physical and emotional well-being with compassionate care.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment according to care plans.

Pay Range: $18.00- $20.00 an hour, with night and evening differential
Schedule:

.6 AM and .8 AM 6:30am-2:30pm Work every other weekend

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High school graduate, CPR certified
• Ability to follow care plans and resident orders
• Long-term care experience (preferred)

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Support residents’ physical and emotional well-being by building meaningful connections and delivering compassionate, person-centered care
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team to ensure timely and appropriate care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while following all care plans, safety protocols, and infection control standards
