Job summary

Always Best Care of Greater Bristol in Plainville, CT is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to assist a bedbound client for 56 hours weekly. Shifts include 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, with Tuesdays 2pm-10pm, start immediately.

You will provide personal care, bathing, dressing, and companionship, plus light housekeeping, transportation, and meal prep. Prior non-medical caregiving experience and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Non-Medical Caregiver required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Must have Cell Phone / Tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily routine care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Responsible for house maintenance when applicable.
• Answer phone calls for clients when necessary.
• Converses with patients to provide assurance.
• Observes Universal Precautions.
• Provides patient transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities and shopping.
• Provides patient laundry and linen changes.
• Light housekeeping.
• Provides medication reminders.
• Meal preparation and clean up.

Summary

We are looking to hire a Caregiver for a Client in Plainville that needs assistance 7 days a week for a total of 56 hours each week. The schedule can be either 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm. Tuesdays the schedule will be 2pm-10pm. The Caregiver will assist the bedbound client with things like personal care, bathing, dressing assistance and general companionship. This role is needed to start immediately.
