Job summary

Always Best Care of Greater Bristol is seeking an experienced Hourly Non-Medical Caregiver to deliver compassionate home care to clients in their own homes in Sharon, CT. You will support daily routines, transportation, meal prep, and light housekeeping with a focus on safety and comfort.

The role requires 3+ years of caregiving, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. CNA/CHHA certification is preferred but not mandatory; flexible part-time or full-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• State CNA/CHHA certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides daily routine care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Responsible for house maintenance when applicable
• Answers phone calls for clients when necessary
• Converses with patients to provide assurance
• Observes Universal Precautions
• Provides patient transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities, and shopping
• Provides patient laundry and linen changes
• Light housekeeping
• Provides medication reminders
• Meal preparation and clean up

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Caregiver required
• State CNA certification / CHHA certification preferred but not required
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Must have Cell Phone / Tablet
