Job summary

Golden Sands retirement and assisted living community seeks compassionate caregivers to assist residents with daily well-being, including personal care, medication assistance, activities, and meals. You will report to the wellness director and work 6 PM–6 AM in 3 twelve-hour shifts with shift differentials.

Preferred candidates have six months of senior caregiving experience; training is available for newcomers.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in senior caregiving preferred.
• New to healthcare training available for the right candidate.
• Must be able to compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities per the care plan (ADLs).
• Administer medications as directed and note changes in condition.
• Support social and recreational activities and meal services.
• Report to wellness director and communicate issues to team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all.
• Follow infection control procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, and home-like environment.

6 PM - 6AM - 3 12 Hour Shifts

Shift Differential Offered

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will:

• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You currently:

• Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Compose reports in English.
