Golden Care is hiring top caregivers to join our growing team. We offer flexible hours based on your availability and competitive pay starting at $19/hr, determined by experience, availability, and distance traveled to shifts.

We provide paid training and great benefits for those who qualify, with a focus on senior home care. Work location is on the road, serving clients in various communities with support from Golden Care’s office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of professional caregiver experience.
• Registration as California Home Care Aide (HCA) or willingness to complete.
• Clear a DOJ/FBI background check.
• Current TB test on file or willingness to test.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Provide 2 forms of ID (e.g., Driver’s license, SSN, Passport, Birth certificate).

Responsibilities

• Follow the client’s plan of care and safety procedures.
• Monitor health status and report any concerns immediately.
• Communicate effectively with the office and respond to inquiries promptly.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to provide high-quality, non-medical care and support services to clients, delivering care with professionalism, empathy, compassion, kindness, and in a respectful manner. Some caregiver duties include, but not limited to:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Providing clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia or related behaviors (i.e., wandering, paranoia) a safe and secure environment by monitoring their health and safety, as it is a priority.
• Assist clients with all their ADL’s (Activates of Daily Living) in accordance with individualized care plans (i.e., personal hygiene assistance—oral care, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean-living environment.
• Meal preparation and assist with feeding if needed.
• Transferring & Ambulation—provide safety, stability and support while client is mobile and during transfers.
• Transportation (i.e., appointments, grocery shopping, errands, outings, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

• MUST have at least 3 months of professional experience working as a caregiver;
• MUST be, or willing to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA);
• MUST be able to clear a criminal background check by the DOJ/FBI;
• MUST have a current Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test (or willingness to complete one);
• MUST obtain a valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle;
• MUST be 18 years of age or older;
• MUST be able to provide 2 forms of ID such as a Driver's license, social security, Passport, and or Birth certificate;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow clients’ provided plan of care, safety precautions and procedures.
• Monitor, observe and report suspected concerns or change of clients' condition or health status to a supervisor or the appropriate parties immediately.
• Communicate effectively and respond to all forms of communication from the office in a timely manner.

SKILLS NEEDED:

• MUST be reliable, dependable, and be on-time.
• MUST dress professionally.
• MUST be kind, empathetic, compassionate, respectful, have a positive attitude and great work ethics.
• MUST have a passion and the desire to help others improve their quality of life, while maintaining clients' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• MUST be comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and care documentation.
