Job summary

The Birches at New Hope is seeking caring, dependable individuals to join our team in New Hope, PA. On-the-job training provided; no experience required. Full-time or part-time roles available. You will help residents with daily living activities and support a warm, dignified environment for seniors.

We value teamwork and communication in English, and you will be part of a compassionate staff dedicated to quality of care and living with respect for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• A passion for helping seniors and contributing to a positive team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
• On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Interact daily with residents to improve quality of life.
• Assist dining: prep/clean dining area, serve meals, promote a welcoming dining atmosphere.

Job Requirements

• A passion for helping seniors
• A desire to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; both oral and written

Job Responsibilities Include

• Providing assistance to residents with activities of daily living based on individual resident needs.
• Interacting daily with residents in an effort to improve resident quality of life.
• Assisting residents with dining. May include but not limited to preparing/cleaning the dining room, assist with food selection, and serving beverages and food. Promotes pleasant and inviting dining environment and encourages social interaction among residents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Certified Nursing Assistant not required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Able to understand and carry out directions and instructions and maintain simple records.
