Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring for non-medical home care aides to support clients across Connecticut. You will follow each client’s Plan of Care, transport to appointments, assist with daily activities, and provide companionship with a compassionate presence.

The role offers flexible scheduling, a competitive hourly rate with direct deposit, and benefits including PTO, holiday pay, medical/dental/401(k), and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
