Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to clients across the state.

You’ll follow each client’s Plan of Care, transport to appointments, assist with light housekeeping, meals, dressing, bathing and mobility, and offer companionship.

Flexible weekday and weekend shifts with opportunities for live-in arrangements and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care per each client’s Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and shopping.
• Assist dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support; document care.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to pass a criminal background check
