Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking evening/afternoon caregivers to support seniors and adults in their homes in the Golden Valley/New Hope area. You will work with a team to provide one-on-one care, companionship, and daily living assistance to enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, errands, meal prep, transportation if needed, and help with personal care and mobility as required. Background checks are required and candidates should be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Criminal Background check required.
• Lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Home assistance: light housekeeping, errands, transportation, medications reminders, meals, personal care.
• Provide companionship and engaging activities.
• Assist with ADLs such as bathing, grooming and mobility as needed.

At Comfort Keepers, we provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and other adults who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their homes. As a caregiver, you will be supported by a team of caring professionals who will help you deliver one-on-one care that not only meets the needs of our clients but enhances their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming.
• Companionship – Provide companionship, activities and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.
• Personal Care and mobility assistance - Provide assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene and mobility assistance

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
