Job summary

LIFE, Inc. in New Bern, NC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide direct support to clients on a part-time basis.

The role focuses on daily living assistance, promoting independence, and improving quality of life, with a second-shift schedule every other weekend. Responsibilities include personal care, meal support, light housekeeping, medication assistance, and participation in treatment plans, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive client

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
• NC Driver's License is required.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, bathing, toileting, and daily self-care.
• Support meals and dining in a family-style setting.
• Help with housekeeping, clothing care, and yard work.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medications without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and adaptive equipment usage.
• Participate in data collection and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and relay client information.
• Transport clients in company vehicles and accompany them to activities.

LIFE, Inc. - New Bern is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide direct support to clients in New Bern, NC. This part-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and improve their quality of life. THE ROLE REQUIRES WORKING 2ND SHIFT EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities including clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care.
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment.
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and communicate appropriate client information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned by managers.
