Job summary

LIFE, Inc. - New Bern is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide direct support to clients in New Bern, NC. This part-time role offers the chance to assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and improve quality of life. The position requires a 2nd shift every other weekend.

Responsibilities include assisting with dressing, bathing, meals, medication administration, light housekeeping, transportation, and participation in community outings and day programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• NC Driver's License required.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients in self-care activities (dressing, bathing, toileting).
• Assist with meals to ensure proper dining.
• Assist with housekeeping including clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care.
• Prepare meals and nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medication without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and use adaptive equipment.
• Participate in behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Assist with training objective plans, data recording, and service goals.
• Communicate client information to the supervisory staff as needed.
• Transport clients in Company vehicles.
• Support clients during community outings and day programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by managers.

This part-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and improve their quality of life. THE ROLE REQUIRES WORKING 2ND SHIFT EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities including clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care.
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment.
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and communicate appropriate client information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned by managers.
