Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

  • Previous caregiving/home care experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with mobility.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Respond to emergencies per established protocols.
  • Collaborate with the care team and families.
  • Communicate care plans clearly to residents and staff.
  • Present for staff meetings and training.

Job Summary

Working as a Caregiver in our Community Based Care Facility, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, ensure safety and well‑being, and provide companionship.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental health.
  • Assist with serving resident meals.
  • Provide companionship and build positive relationships with clients to reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of care provided, including daily logs, progress notes, and incident reports.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality.
  • Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well‑being.
  • Support clients in maintaining independence in daily routines and decision‑making.
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards in community settings.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, such as falls, injuries, or sudden health changes, following established protocols.
  • Collaborate with the care team, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members, to provide coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clarity and understanding of care plans and any changes.
  • Present for staff meetings and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or community-based care is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
