We are seeking a Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.
The caregiver provides hands‑on personal care to clients who are unable to care for themselves. This includes providing assistance with clients’ activities of daily living, including personal care, maintaining mobility, nutrition/hydration, elimination/toileting, using assistive devices, administering medications, managing the clients’ environment and providing client safety, collecting data, observing, listening, recording and reporting.
The caregiver also provides assistance with clients’ instrumental activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, laundry, cooking meals, grocery shopping, transportation to appointments, and shopping. The caregiver may also be required to provide medication reminding to clients.
To provide care and services to clients in their own homes. Most specifically, the purpose of the position is to assist clients with their activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
The caregiver will work in clients’ homes within the agency’s geographic service area. The caregiver will provide personal care including medication reminding and housekeeping services to our clients as per the clients’ individual service plans and under the supervision of the agency’s administrator. The caregiver may be required to work different shifts, including night, evening or early morning shifts.
The caregiver is often required to assist in lifting, transferring and stabilizing clients as they stand, sit, climb (stairs) or walk. Caregivers are required to walk, stand, lift, pull, push, carry, balance, bend, crouch, reach, handle, speak, hear, write, read and communicate.
