Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma in Ardmore, OK is seeking a compassionate Senior Companion to provide non-medical in-home care and companionship to seniors. This part-time role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and well-being while supporting daily living activities in clients' homes.

You will engage clients with social activities, assist with meals, grooming, and safety, and document progress for the care management team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable).
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with seniors or caregiving preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Facilitate socialization and engagement through activities and outings.
• Prepare meals and snacks as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment.
• Collaborate with the care team and document client progress.
• Document client progress and provide reports to the care management team.
