Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is hiring for compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care across multiple service areas. Various shifts include weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in options, with a competitive hourly rate and referral bonuses.

Responsibilities include following each client’s Plan of Care, transporting clients, assisting with meals, light housekeeping, dressing, bathing, mobility, and providing companionship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
