Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut seeks caregivers to provide non-medical home care per each client’s Plan of Care. You’ll transport clients, assist with activities, and help with daily tasks in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Flexible scheduling includes weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts. Prior caregiving experience is a plus, and benefits include time off, holiday pay, and competitive hourly pay with direct deposit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care per each client’s Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
