Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is hiring caring, reliable companions to provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care. You’ll assist with daily activities, transport to appointments, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.

Flexible scheduling includes weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts; benefits include paid time off, holiday pay, medical and dental options, and a referral bonus for bringing in great caregivers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need
