Job summary

RNS Private Duty Care is seeking dependable caregivers in Kansas to provide in-home care tailored to each client's needs. You will follow a care plan developed with the client's family and a nurse case manager to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring for dementia patients, providing transportation when needed, and maintaining HIPAA compliance and proper dress code. Fluent English and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English is required.
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record and compliance with safety policies.
• Reliable, insured vehicle is required.
• Cell phone with internet and texting capabilities is needed.
• Daily access to RNS email is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care according to the client’s care plan established with input from the family and RN case manager.
• Assist with activities of daily living, monitor clients with Alzheimer’s and dementia, take vitals, assist with transfers, fall prevention, bathing and medications reminders.
• Provide safe transportation and run errands as needed.
• Work in homes with pets when applicable.
• Follow all RNS policies including HIPAA, dress code, and conduct.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record and compliance with RNS safety policies

• Ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the role

Responsibilities:

• Provide care according to the client’s needs and the care plan established by the client, family, and RNS case manager
• Assist with activities of daily living, including monitoring clients with Alzheimer’s and dementia, taking vitals, patient transfers, fall prevention, bathing, household tasks, documentation, medication reminders, and pain management
• Provide safe transportation and assist with errands as needed
• Work comfortably in homes with pets when applicable
• Follow all RNS policies, including HIPAA, standards of conduct, and dress code
• Maintain current CPR certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• Maintain a current TB test or complete one within 90 days of hire
• Be responsible for working all assigned shifts and communicating promptly if unavailable so appropriate coverage can be arranged
