Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support seniors at home in Las Cruces, NM. You will provide essential personal care and companionship, helping clients manage daily activities and maintain safety in their homes.

You will set your own schedule, access online training and CEUs, and benefit from tuition discounts to advance your education. CPR certification and a valid NM driver’s license are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Valid NM driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature, good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client status for supervisor review.
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients in activities they enjoy (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies).

As a Caregiver, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid NM driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual Preferable
