Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Eugene, OR is hiring a caregiver to support seniors at home in Albany, Oregon and surrounding areas. Join a family of caregivers who value your contributions and help brighten each day.

You will provide personal care, assist with daily living tasks, and ensure safety in the home. Benefits include online training, CEUs, tuition discounts through Rasmussen University, PTO, and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Must be compassionate, a good communicator and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition, notifying supervisor as needed.
• Ensure a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients in activities they enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.

As a Caregiver, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns

• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregivers:

• High school diploma
• Six (6) months of experience as a Caregiver
• CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
