Job summary

A home care services provider in Hartford, Connecticut, is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join their team. Duties include providing one-on-one non-medical services, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities to enhance seniors' lives. Preferred qualifications include a CNA or HHA license, excellent communication skills, and reliability. Flexible schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state).
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• Proof of current TB testing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to clients.
• Assist with light cooking and cleaning tasks.
• Help with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide transportation for appointments and errands.
• Assist clients with ambulation and medication reminders.

We are looking for compassionate Caregivers to be part of our team and join us in our mission of enhancing seniors’ lives, one day at a time. You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but not limited to:

• Companionship
• Light cooking and cleaning
• Bathing, grooming and toileting
• Assistance with ambulation and medication reminders
• Transportation for appointments and errands

QUALIFICATIONS

• CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons
• Exceptional communication skills
• Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Proof of current TB testing
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
• Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable
• Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state)
