Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. You’ll follow each client’s Plan of Care, transport to appointments, and assist with daily tasks, offering companionship and emotional support.

Open availability is preferred, with opportunities for flexible shifts, including overnights and live-in arrangements. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, with benefits and referral bonuses available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
