Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Eugene, OR is seeking a caring Caregiver to support seniors at home in the surrounding area. You will provide personal care, daily living assistance, and friendly companionship in a family-like setting.

The role offers hourly pay between $20 and $23, with 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for online training, CEUs, education discounts, and PTO. A valid driver’s license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 6 months of caregiver experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and provide safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping).
• Assist with mobility, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregivers:

• High school diploma
• Six (6) months of experience as a Caregiver
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
