SevitaCareers in New Jersey is seeking compassionate caregivers to join NeuroRestorative teams. Provide essential support and companionship to clients with brain injuries and medically complex needs, helping them live safely and with dignity.

All residential schedules include weekend work. The role emphasizes patience, clear communication, and adherence to safety protocols to protect clients and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (physical proof is required).
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in human services or caregiving preferred, but not mandatory.
• Valid (for at least 1 year), non-probationary driver's license with no restrictions or provisions.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Successful background check clearance.
• Caring attitude and dedication to supporting others.
• Ability and willingness to safely bend and lift to assist clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Transport clients to appointments utilizing company vehicles
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
• Support wheelchair assistance and safe transportation
• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Ensure overall safety and well-being of clients
• Use proper lifting and bending techniques to physically support clients

Job description

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Starting Pay

Starting Pay: $16.25/hour

• Additional $0.50/hour for 1-4 years of experience
• Additional $1.00/hour for 5+ years of experience
• Continued Education in a Related Field

Positions

All residential schedules include working at least one day of the weekend.

• Evenings (3p-11p)

Preliminary Requirements

• Proof of non-probationary driver's license held for at least one year
• Ability to attend orientation (Tuesday–Friday, Daytime)
