Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is hiring caregiver professionals to provide compassionate non-medical home care as outlined in each client’s Plan of Care. You will transport clients, assist with daily tasks, and offer companionship in a supportive home-care team.

We offer flexible weekday, weekend, overnight, and live-in shifts, with competitive hourly pay and benefits. A background check is required, and open availability is preferred to support our diverse service areas.

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate non-medical home care per client Plan of Care.
• Ability to transport clients or arrange transport as needed.
• Must be able to assist with basic daily activities safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence—offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
