Job summary

Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Care Professionals to join our team and help aging adults in the Ontario, Wayne, Cayuga, and Seneca County communities live safely at home with dignity. Responsibilities include social/cognitive stimulation, meal planning, medication reminders, dementia care, and maintaining client trust.

Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check that includes a motor vehicle record.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently following policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and cognitive stimulation for aging adults.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and grocery lists.
• Provide medication/appointment reminders as needed.
• Deliver Alzheimer’s/Dementia care with dignity and respect.
• Communicate clearly with clients and families; follow care plans.

Primary responsibilities and qualifications include but are not limited to: social/cognitive stimulation, nutrition and meal planning/preparation, medication/appointment reminders, Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care, ability to care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect, ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner, complete a criminal background check that includes a motor vehicle check, drug screen, possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

Successful candidates possess the ability to work independently while following established policy and procedures set forth by the Administrative Office.
