Job summary

Fox Hollow Independent & Assisted Living in Bend, OR is seeking compassionate caregivers to support aging residents with daily living, activities, medication assistance, meals, and social-recreational tasks.

You will follow resident service plans, maintain a safe environment, and communicate with residents, families, and staff, reporting to the wellness director. Training, benefits, and opportunities to grow in healthcare are offered.

Qualifications

• Six months of caregiving experience preferred; training available if new to healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans, assist with ADLs including bathing and grooming, and support medication administration.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Communicate problems and issues with team members; report changes in resident condition.
• Follow infection control procedures and OSHA guidelines; document as required.
• Relate with residents, families, and staff to support dignity, privacy and independence.

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will:

• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You currently:

• Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Compose reports in English.
