Job summary

Maple Ridge is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for its senior living community to provide compassionate, hands-on care and build meaningful connections with residents. You will assist with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, and document health information to support resident dignity and joy.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and clear communication in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience valued.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of assisted living regulations preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist residents with meals, snacks, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Monitor residents’ comfort levels and address needs promptly.
• Record vital signs and health information; document care and observations.

Key Responsibilities

• Resident Care & Support
• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist residents with meals, snacks, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Support residents with ambulation, positioning, and range-of-motion activities.
• Monitor residents’ comfort levels and promptly address needs and concerns.
• Health Monitoring & Documentation
• Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output accurately.
• Report any changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the Caregiver Coordinator or Executive Director.
• Document all care, observations, and resident interactions in compliance with Mosaic policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior caregiving experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience strongly valued.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support seniors.
• Knowledge of assisted living, memory care, and related regulations preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
