Job summary

The Homestead at Anoka, part of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a dedicated Caregiver/HHA to support residents with daily living activities and basic health care tasks. You will document care, report observations to the nurse, assist with transfers, and help residents stay safe and comfortable.

Shifts vary (7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with every other weekend) and compensation ranges from $20.69–$22.81 per hour based on experience; VOANS offers a 403(b) plan,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be eighteen (18)+ years of age.
• Ability to read, write and carry out directions.
• Ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgment.
• Demonstrated dependability, tact, and ability to follow orders.
• Customer service oriented.
• Coordination and dexterity required to provide resident care.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Documentation of cares given and pertinent observations. Reports any observations to the nurse.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and exercise.
• Reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.

The Homestead at Anoka is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Compensation

$20.69/hr- $22.81/hr (based on years of experience)

Shifts

7:00 AM- 3:00 PM (Every other weekend) *60 hours per pay period (.8) AM

11:00 PM- 7:00AM (Every other weekend) *15 hours per pay period (.2) NOC

Essentials

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
